Flagship Detroit Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations received by the Foundation are fully tax deductible in accordance with IRS guidelines.
Current members of the Foundation are invited to ride on the Flagship Detroit. New memberships entitle the individual to take a local area nostalgic flight on the DC-3 when the local event host allows this activity. In addition, members may ride on positioning flights on a space available basis (all additional travel expenses incurred are the responsiblity of the member). While the positioning flight schedules are not published on the Upcoming Events page, these flights normally precede and follow the dates of the scheduled events by a day or two. If you are interested in taking a flight to or from a specific event, contact us by email and we will give you the specific information on the flight.
(Note: Membership entitles the member for one local area membership ride. Multiple local area rides are at the sole discretion of the Foundation.) Each flight will be approximately twenty minutes takoff to landing time. During flight time, you will be able move about the cabin and visit the cockpit to observe the pilots and the view from up front. Feel free to photograph your experience. Stairs are used for entering and exiting the airplane and all passengers are required to be physically able to enplane and deplane without assistance. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult. All riders must sign a waiver of liability.
